Job Description:NOTE: This role is based in New York City and encourages a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office. Some roles or teams may require additional in-office attendance if the essential functions of the role require it.JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Manager, Trade Business Communications develops compelling communications and visual storytelling that advance Scholastic Trade Publishing's priorities, strengthen organizational alignment, and elevate the visibility of our books, authors, and publishing programs. As a trusted partner to Trade Publishing leadership, this role translates business strategies into clear, engaging communications for employees, industry partners, retailers, agents, authors, and other key audiences.Working closely with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Publicity, and executive leadership, this role helps bring to life some of the world's most beloved books, authors, and brands through presentations, internal communications, launch materials, and business storytelling.This individual will:Inform: Translate publishing priorities, organizational updates, and strategic initiatives into clear, timely, and actionable communications.Inspire: Create compelling narratives and presentation materials that showcase Scholastic's books, authors, publishing programs, and impact.Elevate: Enhance communication tools, channels, and creative assets to ensure consistent messaging, stronger engagement, and a best-in-class brand experience.This role reports to the Senior Director, Business Communications and partners across Trade Publishing to develop integrated communications that support business objectives, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce Scholastic's leadership in children's publishing.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with beloved properties like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Captain Underpants, and more, and to research, explore, and discuss the most exciting trends in culture, and children's literature.  Does this role give you Goosebumps? Then jump on your Firebolt and join us!KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead content development of seasonal Presales, Sales Conference, and Launch materials for upcoming title and franchise releases.Develop core sales and marketing materials for major publishing franchises, including Harry Potter, Dog Man, The Hunger Games, and other bestselling brands.Support the Sales team by creating compelling partner presentations for key retail accounts.Create, design, and refine executive presentations, one-sheets, and communication materials for Trade Publishing leadership and cross-functional teams.Develop and execute internal communications, including leadership updates, organizational announcements, and change management communications.Collaborate with Marketing, Publicity, Editorial, Sales, and Corporate Communications to create integrated communications and presentation materials that support publishing initiatives, major title launches, industry events, and business priorities.Develop and ...
