Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Accounting team and various cross functional teams, you will analyze accounting treatment for certain transactions, record and report accounting transactions, and optimize processes for efficient and accurate data flow. You will collaborate with these, and other business partners daily to ensure accurate and timely accounting and US GAAP reporting.What you’ll do:Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for areas, as assignedPrepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basisPrepare various reconciliations and analysis of account activityIdentify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOXProvide support for the annual financial statement audit, quarterly reviews, as well as periodic internal auditsImprove and document general processes for assigned areasProvide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects, as neededKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, etc.Strong accounting knowledge and an understanding of US GAAPAbility to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environmentExcellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, and superior attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA proactive person who can multitask, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a high sense of urgencyExceptional organizational skillsStrong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periodsAble to work independently as well as collaboratively with a teamMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience1+ years of exp...
