Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS) – Full-Time 📍 Jacksonville, NC💰 $53,000 – $57,000 annually🕒 Full-Time | Clinical Treatment Setting | Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders Make a Real Impact in Recovery-Driven Clinical Care Pyramid Healthcare is actively seeking a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) to join our dedicated behavioral health team in Jacksonville, NC. This is a meaningful opportunity for a motivated clinician who is passionate about substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, mental health recovery, and evidence-based care. You’ll work in a structured, supportive clinical environment focused on helping individuals achieve long-term recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR/ECR) Participate in utilization review (UR) and treatment planning meetings Support aftercare planning, discharge planning, and continuity of care Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation support when needed Contribute to program development, curriculum enhancement, and staff training Participate in on-call rotation as assigned Maintain compliance with all state regulations, licensing standards, and company policies Required Qualifications Active LCAS licensure in North Carolina (required) Master’s degree in: Counseling Social Work Psychology Or related behavioral health field Experience in substance use disorder (SUD), mental health, trauma-informed care, or co-occurring treatment settings (preferred) Valid driver’s license required Preferred Experience (Not Required but Valued) Group therapy facilitation in residential or outpatient settings Experience with evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, MI) Familiarity with ASAM criteria or utilization review processes Experience working in structured clinical treatment programs Why Join Pyramid Healthcare?
