BBPOS is now part of Stripe’s Terminal business since the acquisition in March 2022. About the team Post acquisition, the BBPOS team is now an extension of the Stripe Terminal team. Stripe Terminal helps Stripe users extend their online presence into the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. With Terminal, businesses can unlock in-person payments use cases that are right for their business model—whether it’s creating a flagship retail experience, extending their website to a pop-up store, or enabling a mobile point-of-sale at their next event. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities.What you’ll do As a Terminal Technical Program Manager, you will become an expert on all things related to in-person payments. You’ll work with teams within Terminal to enable top-notch integration experiences through our SDKs, get involved in driving new card reader hardware programs, and build enterprise scale fleet management programs. You’ll also work with our partner teams, both engineering and business, to enable our product and infrastructure to scale to match the rest of Stripe’s global footprint. More broadly, you will be responsible for the successful definition, cross-functional strategy, planning and execution of large-scale technical programs that help to solve complex problems. Initially, a large part of your focus will be on defining, coordinating, and executing the Terminal release management process. Those responsibilities will include: Coordinate across several teams (engineering, product, go-to-market, docs, design etc.) and domains to finalize, bundle, and release software changes Work intimately with app, SDK, and API services teams to release new API versions, SDKs for each supported language, and other software assets Ensure the safe rollout of updated software assets Coordinate with the Terminal team to update product documentation & integration guides, API references, migration guides, and changelogs as appropriate Work closely with the product development team responsible for a given release to communicate changes effectively to existing and prospective users Additional Responsibilities Evaluate and define tools and processes for release management Coordinate end to end testing...
