Job Description Nira is hiring Transmission Planning Engineers to join the product team comprised of half planning engineers and half software engineers. In this role, you’ll work with other planning engineers and software engineers to build products that help renewable developers put together successful project portfolios. Specifically, you’ll: • Focus on deepening and expanding your transmission planning and generator interconnection studies subject matter expertise. • Work with software engineers and product managers to codify your domain knowledge into Nira’s software products’ backend. • Support the full product life cycle including product ideation, research and development, coding, sales support, customer support, and product maintenance. Who We’re Looking For This could be a great fit if: • You have experience with generation interconnection related studies. You have 2+ years of hands on experience with tools like TARA, PSS/E, Power World, Python, etc.; and you already have a sense of what data renewable developers need to build a portfolio of successful projects. • You’re motivated by having ownership in your work. You take initiative on projects and have a strong preference to be a trailblazer.
