Virtual School Psychologist
About the Team ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Virtual School Psychologists. ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year. About the Opportunity Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines Familiarity with evaluation tools Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations Complete Assessment Plans, RORs/REEDs, and FBAs Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed Present evaluation findings at ETR meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices Participating in training and meetings as needed Attend ETR/RETR meetings to discuss results of assessments Maintain case rosters for all school psychologists Participate as a member of the MTSS/RTI Hold reoccurring meetings with each school psychologist to ensure compliancy Plan and hold professional development and training for staff Supervise a team of school psychologists School Psychologist will be working approximately 80% remotely and 20% in person within our Columbus schools About You Master’s Degree or Ed.S degree Professional Ohio School Psychologist License Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare Demonstrated leadership and management ability Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study...
