The Role: As a Supervisor you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Warehouse Operatives and Trainee Supervisors, driving performance, productivity, and engagement across the shift. Working closely with the Section Manager and wider Warehouse Leadership team, you'll ensure operational targets are achieved, labour is effectively planned, and customer demand is fulfilled on time and in full. You'll champion a strong safety culture, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in embedding positive cultural change to enhance employee retention and performance.Key Responsibilities:Direct line management and coaching of Warehouse Operatives / Trainee Supervisors including 1:1's to discuss performance vs expectation, identifying SMART goals when performance not met in any of the key functional areas within responsibilityWorking with the Section Manager for your department to monitor delivery to plan and key areas for your shift improveDriving performance on key metrics ensuring an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfill customer web and store demand on time and in fullDriving the highest standards of safety on site, working with the Safety team to ensure adherence to all safety routines/procedures (e.g. Floor Safety Inspections, Hazard Spotting, Safety Gembas, Risk Assessments, Audits)Reviewing weekly labour plan to ensure cover is adequate, sharing with Section Manager, highlighting issues/feedback.
