Pomona is a member of The Claremont Colleges.JOB PURPOSE: The Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer assists the Head Coach in designated aspects of running the Women’s Soccer program. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, organizing goalkeeper training sessions to alight with team objectives, scouting opponents, recruiting as needed, implementing IDPs, video analysis, coaching ID Clinics and game preparation. The Assistant Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pomona College, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), and the NCAA Division III.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reporting directly to the Head Soccer Coach and Athletic Director, the Assistant Coach position will provide opportunities and responsibilities in the areas of athletic performance that include, but are not limited to:Strong administrative, interpersonal skills, and computer/technology skills.Appropriate certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, or willingness to complete certifications upon hire if working independently with student-athletes.Operate computers with basic Microsoft Office software (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, docs) and associated professional software (such as Internet research and menu-driven databases). Demonstrate understanding of the use of equipment in assessing and improving department systems and processes to achieve annual goals and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrate effective, accurate, and clear communication with excellent/strong verbal, written, interpersonal, reading, phone, and customer service skills.
