Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and /or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.Essential FunctionsEmployee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.Other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceEducational requirements may vary depending on the specific training topic and workforce program needs. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education in occupational safety, construction management, transportation operations, or a related field is preferred.Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience related to the training topic. Relevant experience may include work in:Construction or roadway safetyHighway maintenance or inspectionTransportation infrastructure operationsWork zone traffic controlOccupational safety in construction or industrial environmentsCandidates must demonstrate practical experience working in or around active roadway work zones and an understanding of hazards associated with highway construction, maintenance activities, and traffic management.Instructional ExperienceExperience delivering workforce training, safety instruction, or on-the-job training for adult learners is preferred.
