SAMY Alliance acquired US creator-marketing agency Get Engaged in a deal closed September 30.

Why it matters: The acquisition expands SAMY's US creator-marketing capabilities through Get Engaged's 120-plus employees, offices and reported client roster. It also gives SAMY a larger US operating base as it builds through acquisitions.

  • The transaction closed September 30; Fortune and Adweek reported it on October 6, 2026.
  • Fortune described the valuation as "at least approximately $100 million"; Adweek called it a low-nine-figure deal.
  • Get Engaged has more than 120 employees across Atlanta, New York, Nashville and Los Angeles.
  • Co-founder Alex Dermer will become CEO, and Get Engaged will operate as SAMY's US arm.

SAMY Alliance, the social-first marketing group majority-owned by Bridgepoint, acquired US creator-marketing agency Get Engaged in a transaction that closed September 30. Fortune and Adweek reported the deal on October 6, 2026.

The deal is structured with cash and equity. Fortune described the value as “at least approximately $100 million,” while Adweek described it as a low-nine-figure deal. Those descriptions are not a precise purchase price: The parties have not disclosed the exact value, ownership percentages or cash-equity split.

Get Engaged was founded in 2016 by Cam Fordham, Ben Hiott and Alex Dermer. The agency connects brands with celebrities, creators and other talent and provides influencer marketing, digital brand management, campaign development and content services. It has more than 120 employees across Atlanta, New York, Nashville and Los Angeles.

The three founders will remain with the business. Dermer will become CEO, while Get Engaged will continue operating under its name as SAMY's US arm. The founders will retain meaningful ownership, Adweek reported.

Bridgepoint first invested in SAMY in 2023 and became its majority shareholder in 2025. SAMY has also acquired German influencer-marketing agency Intermate and Dutch social-first communications agency team5pm, according to Bridgepoint.

By the numbers

  • $100 million - Fortune's wording for the deal's minimum approximate value
  • 120-plus - Get Engaged employees
  • 2016 - Year Get Engaged was founded

Yes, but: The valuation descriptions are broad, and the parties have not disclosed a precise purchase price, ownership percentages or the cash-equity split.
