Additionally, it will collaborate in program and recruiting strategy to build and maintain a high-performing NCAA Division I men’s and women’s Cross Country and Track & Field program, with a particular focus on Cross Country and mid-distance/distance areas. It will also assist with the entirety of the program and other event areas as defined by the Director.Job Description:Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and significant or extensive experience either playing or coaching the sport.Skills or competencies related to the sport of Track & Field/Cross Country.Demonstrates strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrates proven leadership abilities through prior collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.Demonstrates attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions.Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree.Several years coaching track & field distance events/cross country at the NCAA Division I level.Conditions of Employment:Must work nights and weekends. Presence at events outside of normal working hours may be required.Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis throughout the year.Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoors and frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.Yearly completion of NCAA compliance certification.CPR certification or completed within 6 months of employment.This is a restricted position subject to availability of funding.This position is restricted to a specific term.Job Duties:6...
