Job DescriptionThe Opportunity Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Prescott is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and student-focused professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Student Union within the Department of Student Engagement & Student Union (SESU).This position plays a central role in creating a vibrant campus community by supporting student involvement, leadership development, orientation programs, and student organization success. The Assistant Director will work closely with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to provide meaningful co-curricular experiences that enhance student engagement and belonging across campus.Position Overview:The Assistant Director provides primary oversight and leadership in the following areas:Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)Student Government Association (SGA) advisingOrientation and transition programsStudent leadership and engagement initiativesDepartmental operations and student support servicesKey Responsibilities:Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)Serve as the primary contact and advisor for Registered Student OrganizationsManage the new RSO registration and annual re-registration processesProvide guidance and support to student organization officers and advisorsCoordinate training and development opportunities, including Officer Orientation programsMaintain and update RSO resources and educational materialsOversee organization-focused programs and events, including the annual Organization FairSupport student involvement marketing and outreach initiativesManage RSO event registration and student travel notification processesPartner with University Risk Management to review and maintain safety standards and procedures for high-risk organizationsAssess RSO programs and operations to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvementStudent Government Association (SGA)Serve as advisor to the Student Government Association and various SGA Service OrganizationsMeet regularly with student leaders to provide mentorship and operational supportAttend and support open and closed SGA meetingsCoordinate contracts and organizational logisticsAssist with oversight of SGA budgets, project funds, and financial processesSupport leadership development and organizational effectiveness among student government leadersOrientation & Transition ProgramsLead the planning, development, and implementation of fall and spring Orientation programsRecruit, train, supervise, and mentor more than 40 student Orientation Leaders and Lead Orientation LeadersManage Orientation program budgets and expendituresCoordinate with campus stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of Orientation initiativesCollaborate with partners across Academic Affairs, Facilities, ROTC, the Chancellor’s Office, Campus Events, and other departmentsParticipate in Campus Opening Committee planning efforts for the start of each semesterDepartment Operations & Student SupportSupervise ...
