Behavior Technician - Hawthorne Details about this opportunity:  Location: Hawthorne, NY Center-Based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist/Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-3:30pm Compensation:$21-26/hourly   Services:  Provide IEP Mandated Services at our Centers (NOT INSURANCE BASED)   What we have to offer YOU:   FULL TIME BENEFITS Generous Paid Time Off (between 25-28 days!)  12 Holidays including Winter break 12/25-1/1 Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k)   Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts   Life Insurance   Employee Assistance Program   Referral Program   Professional Development Assistance   Pet Insurance   Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance   Team Building Events   Incentive Program   Responsibilities:  Work collaboratively with Clinical Supervisors BCBAs to implement principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.   Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.   Acquire and maintain RBT credential in accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within the first 90 days of employment.   Use electronic platform for data collection and graphing.    Implement Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans as directed.   Effectively manage learners including physical crisis intervention protocols, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.  Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations.  Understand and demonstrate the company core values.   And more!  About You:  If you have these attributes:  Passionate to work with children, adolescents, families and therapists  Sterling values, high integrity   Excellent oral and written communication skills  Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind.  Exposure to the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality  Excellent time management/organizational skills  Act with humility and grace  Empathetic & considerate of others  Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment  And this background:  Minimum of 6 months ABA working with children or adolescents with Autism in a supervised setting.   Experience with working with challenging behaviors preferred Enrollment or completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, or related field a plus.  Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind. Must be able to work safely and directly with individuals who engage in varying magnitudes of challenging behaviors including but not limited to aggression, self-injury, property destruction, and elopement.
