We harness innovative technology and exceptional talent to meet the complex needs of our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic legal landscape.The Business Continuity (BC) and Travel Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Director of BC, Travel and Special Projects to oversee and execute the firm’s Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans. Along with the Director, the Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing comprehensive Disaster Recovery plans to ensure support for critical business needs in the event of an emergency or disaster. Working within a global organization, this role will assess risks, design recovery strategies, and collaborate with various offices and functional teams to ensure the organization is prepared to handle any unforeseen disruptions.The Coordinator will work under the direction of the Director, running the day-to-day aspect of the Travel Department, including our on-line booking site and various other travel projects (annual corporate hotel list, participation in weekly calls with the firm’s travel manager at Lawyers Travel, etc.) and assist as needed with special projects for the firm.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and annually update business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all firm offices in partnership with Office Leads and other key stakeholdersCoordinate and lead annual training for Crisis Managers for all firm officesMaintain the AED licenses and number of trained personnel firmwide, including keeping the AccuTrack website up to dateAssist Office Leads and Functional Leaders to react to and assist with any type of crisis (inclement weather, critical life safety, etc.) and coordinate firm or office support and response theretoManage the K&S Preparedness Portal, conducting monthly audits of employees who have not registered and follow up with the Office Leads to ensure complianceMaintain the Crisis Leader Teams page and monthly CMT contact listsMonitor the completion rate of the annual certification for all Crisis Managers on the Preparis SiteWork with Office Leads to maintain the Crisis Manager list for all officesLead the Disaster Recovery Business Continuity New Hire Orientation training weeklyMonitor news and weather daily for potential issuesAttend the Crisis Leader’s annual tabletop exercise; take notes, create and manage the action items listsRespond to onsite emergencies (medical and other life safety issues)Attend the Crisis Managers Fall Meeting before the unannounced Annual Emergency Evacuation Drill, take notes, and address emergency backpack replacement requests from Crisis Managers. During the drill, coordinate with the other Crisis Managers on our floor to clear the area, use the stairs to reach the ground floor, and proceed to the safe refuge area.
