BuyQ is a group purchasing organization (GPO) built specifically for charter and private schools and is a CoreTrust company. We help school leaders save time and money by providing compliant, pre‑negotiated supplier contracts and hands‑on support. BuyQ combines deep education expertise with the scale and resources of CoreTrust.  Reporting to the President of BuyQ, the Business Development Representative is an entry-to-mid level, client-facing role responsible for driving new member growth and early-stage success for BuyQ’s charter and private school community.  This role operates as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting. While the role supports inbound leads and onboarding, a significant portion of success is driven by proactive outreach to new schools.  The Business Development Representative partners closely with Account Executives and Member Success to ensure a high-quality pipeline, strong onboarding experience, and early activation of new members.  Responsibilities Own outbound prospecting efforts targeting charter management organizations, private school networks, and individual schools  Execute high-volume, multi-channel outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn) to generate new qualified opportunities  Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of meetings through disciplined daily and weekly activity  Research target schools and tailor messaging to key decision-makers (operations, finance, procurement leaders)  Partner with Account Executives to align on target accounts and conversion strategy  Engage and qualify inbound and warm leads, conducting initial discovery conversations  Schedule qualified meetings and ensure a seamless handoff to Account Executives  Lead onboarding calls and guide new members through enrollment, contracts, and activation steps  Follow up persistently to drive onboarding completion and early value realization  Support ongoing member engagement through check-ins and participation in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)  Maintain accurate and timely records of all activity and member interactions in the CRM  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required  1–3+ years of professional experience, preferably in sales development, business development, customer success, or a related client-facing role  Demonstrated ability or strong interest in outbound prospecting and high-activity sales environments  Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and build credibility with school leaders and operators  Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail  Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working in a ...
