This position will be located in London and will report to the Managing Director, Client Portfolio Management – Private Credit. Barings Client Portfolio Managers work in close partnership and coordination with investment teams and sales as well as other stakeholders within the organisation as subject matter experts, focusing on business development, client servicing and product development for certain investment strategies.Barings’ experience within private debt is extensive and is an integral part of Barings’ global capabilities. Barings is a scaled, global direct lender that directly originates senior secured loans to sponsor-backed companies in the core middle market. Barings remains one of the most active middle market direct lenders globally, underpinned by the scale of the platform, our track record and longstanding position as an incumbent lender. Barings has $61Bn of commitments to the Global Direct Lending platform across a diverse capital base covering various global and regional commingled fund structures, separately managed accounts and middle market CLOs. The platform has raised over $11Bn of capital over the last 12 months, as of June 30th 2026.  Primary Responsibilities Take a senior Client Portfolio Management role within our European Private Credit business primarily focussed on Barings’ Global and European Direct Lending capabilities.Serving as a primary business development liaison for Barings’ European Private Credit CapabilitiesCommunicating investment strategies internally and externally with the goal of growing assets under management in our regional private debt fundsProviding scheduled and ad-hoc updates on all aspects of the Private Credit market including investment performance, market levels etc.Stay abreast of market developments and competitor intelligenceContribute to preparation of, and active participation in, meetings with current and prospective clientsCollaborate with various teams internally to lead client proposals (RFPs) and due-diligence questionnaires (DDQs) to support the winning of new business and retaining existing clientsResponding in a timely manner to client and prospect requestsAttending investment team meetings where required to build subject matter expertise acros...
