This position is ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship.Overall PurposeTechnical expert responsible for building data science tools/infrastructure.Essential FunctionsWrite data infrastructure & analytics software tools for Data Science.Mentor and train interns.Guide Data Scientists on best practices in software engineering.Collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers from other parts of EW on architectural and software enhancements to the Data Science platform.Collaborate with Data Science leadership on improving ETL and cluster computing.Supporting the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and dataMinimum QualificationsEducation and experience typically obtain through a Bachelor’s degreeTypically has 2-4 years of demonstrated progressive work experience in the following areasSparkSoftware/data engineering in PythonMachine Learning toolkits in Python/RBuilding reusable frameworks for data ingestion and storage in Hadoop or AWS/S3Relational databases, optimizing/tuning queries, indexing, partitioning, etc. Experience collaborating with internal engineering & technology teams within a company on building data infrastructure in a regulated, enterprise environment;Strong communication skillsBackground and drug screenPreferred QualificationsPrior demonstrated experience 2-4 yearsScala/Java experienceFin-tech experienceThe above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.Physical RequirementsWorking conditions consist of a normal office environment.
