About the role:

Tempo Software is a PE-backed SaaS company (~$200M+ ARR) in the Atlassian ecosystem with 9 global legal entities across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. The Director of Accounting is a senior, hands-on leadership role within the Finance team, reporting to the VP Controller. This person leads the accounting team through month-end close, owns accounting operations, and plays a key role in audit, compliance, and strategic finance projects. We're looking for a player-coach — someone who rolls up their sleeves, gets things done, and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to everything they touch.

What you’ll do:

Close & Reporting

- Lead the accounting team through the monthly close across 9 entities and multiple currencies, driving accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement

- Own the close checklist and reconciliation workflows, leveraging close management tooling to maintain visibility and accountability
