Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.   KARE-TV is seeking a Research Director to provide strategic support for our sales team in Minneapolis and sister stations throughout the Midwest. This position is responsible for estimating and maintaining programming for multiple stations, analyzing audience and marketplace data, and identifying trends across both linear and streaming platforms. The overall objective for the position is to provide stations with the insights, tools, and strategic guidance necessary to maximize inventory, grow revenue, and better serve advertisers in a rapidly evolving media landscape.Responsibilities:•    Creation and maintenance of program estimates across multiple stations and platforms •    Management of research systems including Wide Orbit Media Sales and audience measurement platforms •    Analysis of audience trends across linear television, streaming, and digital consumption habits •    Support sales leadership and account executives with data-driven insights, presentations, and marketplace intelligence •    Assist in the development of sales strategies tied to streaming growth, sponsorship opportunities, sports programming, and multiplatform campaigns •    Provide qualitative and quantitative research support for advertisers, agencies, and internal stakeholders •    Develop clear, concise reports that translate audience data into actionable business insights •    Monitor competitive trends, viewing behaviors, and emerging industry shifts that may impact revenue opportunities •    Maintain sports and special event calendars, including audience estimates and revenue support materials •    Partner with station leadership to identify opportunities for audience growth and monetization across all platforms •    Help educate teams on evolving audience measurement methodologies and changing consumer viewing habitsRequirements: •    Strong understanding of audience measurement data including comScore and/or Nielsen •    Working knowledge of research and sales systems including Wide Orbit Media Sales, comScore TV, Nielsen, or similar software •    Understanding of streaming, digital audience measurement, and multiplatform advertising trends •    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and presentation tools •    Abil...
