Reporting to the Head Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for keeping a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment.The day to day:Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.Aid kitchen staff in food prep when directed.Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.Aid in maintaining or exceeding department objectives.Perform other related duties as required. No previous experience required.Strong organizational and time management skills required.Working-level English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with management and other team members.WHMIS Certification and Food Safe Certification is an asset.Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (full shift duration) and lift up to 50 lbs.Partial time / Full time availabilityLegally eligible to work in Canada This is a current...
