About The Role The EMEA Scheme Compliance Manager – Acquiring ensures Verifone’s acquiring and gateway solutions remain fully compliant with Visa, Mastercard, and other payment scheme requirements. This role translates scheme mandates into clear internal deliverables, manages non‑compliance risk, and acts as Verifone’s primary point of contact with regional scheme partners. It is a cross‑functional role spanning Product, Engineering, Finance, Certification, Customer Success, and Sales. Key Responsibilities: Scheme Mandate & Release Management Monitor Visa/Mastercard bi‑annual releases, mandates, and scheme bulletins; summarise and distribute requirements to internal teams. Translate scheme changes into internal requirements and submit prioritised items into relevant Product backlogs. Track EMEA mandate deadlines and escalate delivery risks. Manage acquirer/processor‑initiated changes related to scheme mandates. Drive mandate delivery through to GTM in partnership with Product Owners and Customer Success. Non‑Compliance & Risk Management Track non‑compliance notifications from Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Identify root causes and define remediation requirements; ensure timely resolution. Support scheme fraud investigations for EMEA acquiring customers. Maintain visibility of fines, remediation progress, and compliance status through dashboards and regular reporting.
