Job Description:The Finance and Administrative Coordinator provides administrative and financial support to the senior leadership team and general administrative support for the Department of Cognitive Psychological Sciences (CoPsy) department. This includes high-level, direct support with processing departmental financial reimbursements and purchases, event support, calendar management, and liaising with internal offices. The incumbent is relied upon to research, analyze and resolve issues that arise to make effective use of the management team’s time.The coordinator is also responsible for general administrative support for the department. The incumbent manages the calendars and coordinates appointments with large groups.Additional responsibilities include providing meeting and event support, and inventory management supporting maintenance and tracking of informational assets.Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree with 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Excellent communication skills.Excellent attention to detailCustomer-focused, customer service oriented.Experience with event planning and scheduling.Works independently and uses judgment and discretion.Ability to be flexible in a constantly shifting environment with tight deadlines and a high volume of activity.Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.Proficient in Microsoft and Google platforms.Applicants must submit a cover letter and CV/resume.Why Brown?Brown University is a leading research university that is distinct for its student-centered learning and deep sense of purpose.
