Job DescriptionThe Opportunity Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student-centered, and forward-thinking Head Coach, Wrestling to provide visionary leadership. Provide leadership and oversight of the intercollegiate men's wrestling program. This includes providing instruction of wrestling techniques, managing the program budget, supervision of assistant coaches, scheduling contests, coordinating travel and recruiting student-athletes. For Primary Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities: Provide fundamental and advanced instruction of wrestling techniques and philosophy to student-athletes. Administer all facets of the men's wrestling program, including: on-site management of all practices and games, supervise all assistant coaches, schedule matches, arrange for transportation, housing, meals for trips, purchase and care of uniforms and equipment, secure game management personnel (officials) for home events. Develop, implement and manage team budget in accordance of university APPM's. ensure that all team members adhere to University and NAIA guidelines with regard to academic and athletic eligibility; work with the Team Physician, Sports Medicine staff, and University Health Services to promote the health and safety of team members; monitor the academic progress of all team members; represent the Athletic Department and the Wrestling program at, NAIA regional, national, and other related meetings and events; perform assigned administrative duties with regard to University and NAIA requirements.Actively recruit and retain qualified incoming student-athletes who have interest men's wrestling. Promote the men's wrestling program and pursue opportunities to fund-raise resources outside of the university budget. Develop relationships within the university to promote the wrestling program and student-athlete concept. Develop relationships within the community to promote the wrestling program and create community service opportunities; develop and execute fund-raising activities/camps/clinics to promote the wrestling program.
