To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page.______________________________________________________________________Position Overview:The Import Trade Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for coordinating & executing import compliance work required under Federal, State, Local and global laws. The Import Specialist will assist a variety of business areas in preparing necessary documentation and processes related to the monitorship and compliance generally; will prepare and maintain compliance reports related to import issues; and will proactively identify and mitigate import compliance risks and exposures throughout DigiKey.This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, though may require some onsite attendance.Schedules:Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Hybrid)Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Hybrid)Monday - Friday, 12:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. (Remote)Responsibilities:Pre-entry verification of shipments into the FTZAssist with zone to zone transfers (TRF to Fargo, Fargo to TRF)Assist with Entry paperwork for consumption entriesAssist with gathering information for auditing and reporting functions completed by Import Trade Compliance ManagerAudit for accuracy of part record details prior to FTZ activationSpot checks of part record accuracy (C of O, quantity, etc.)Assisting with information gathering for drawback claimsTaking on additional responsibilities from Senior Trade Compliance Specialist or Trade Compliance ManagerRequired Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentBachelor's Degree in International Business, Economics, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience (preferred)Zero to Four years of Trade Compliance experienceZero to Three years of experience working at Digi-Key with experience in Sales, PDC, Logistics, Shipping or Customer ServiceCandidate has a strong understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates inCandidate has strong knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principlesMust be well versed in Import compliance Knowledge in the following tools/systems/software: ACE, FileNet, Broker/Carrier Portals, WinDECS, Microsoft Office SuiteGenerally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screenGenerally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your bodyMust be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, communication proficiency, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, pers...
