We are building a focused employment tax team to meet increasing client demand across compliance, advisory and cost recovery. To support this, we are looking for a commercial, innovative employment tax manager to join our team. Alongside delivery of client facing work, you will help shape our client propositions, work directly with senior leaders and play a visible role in growing the practice. This is an opportunity to join at a formative stage.The employment tax manager leads delivery of UK employment tax services. The role blends technical depth with client leadership and team management, with a core focus on managing risk, identifying planning opportunities and delivering practical, commercially grounded advice. You will help shape market offerings, lead and take responsibility for client engagements and take ownership of key client relationships.Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan Key ResultsPeople:Lead, coach and develop consultants within the employment tax teamEnsure team compliance with firm policies, practice standards and quality controlsAllocate work effectively and manage team utilisation and performanceBuild technical capability across UK employment tax, with awareness of mobility and equity issuesWork closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver joined up solutionsClient:Develop client workplans and manage delivery timelines across engagementsLead UK employment tax compliance and advisory engagements across a broad range of technical areas including PAYE, NIC, benefits, expenses, off payroll working, Construction Industry Scheme, National Minimum Wage, equity reporting and termination paymentsManage HMRC enquiries, reviews and disputesProvide UK employment tax input into global mobility arrangements, including inbound and outbound employeesConnect with wider tax colleagues to identify opportunities for support across the client baseIdentify opportunities to broaden scope across employment tax, mobility and rewardIdentify opportunities for innovation and technology useValue:Manage and monitor all aspects of employment tax projects from scoping to completionMaintain awareness of UK legislative developments and translate changes into clear client actionsContribute to thought leadership and market visibility in the UK employment tax spaceSupport financial management of engagements, including budgeting, billing and recoveryEducation and Experience:CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferredTypically four to six years’ experience in UK employment ta...
