Primary Function of Position The Manager, IT Applications is responsible for the management, maintenance and end user support of our critical business applications that support Global Operations. The role involves project management, resource allocation, vendor management and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance. The Manager, IT Applications will stay informed about emerging technologies to drive innovation within the IT applications domain. The ideal candidate must have both leadership and technical skills to manage IT technologies and personnel effectively and efficiently.Essential Job DutiesProvide leadership in functional design, implementation, and support of the Global Logistics applications.Establish SLAs and operating policies/procedures for overall business system availability.Organizes applications team to provide support for new projects as well as existing.Interact on a day-to-day basis with other analysts, business leadership, SME and IT team members to support business operations and drive change management.Facilitate change management and transition to future state working with various stakeholders.Identify and participate in prioritization of business capabilities and act as a catalyst for building mature and scalable processes.Coaching and teaching: Teaches reports to perform current job tasks and provides coaching and development for 1-2 years outAccountability: Accountable for team goals and for other managers and individuals on the team - creative in succeedingPersonal commitment: Recognizes potential team issues, proposed solutions, and gains commitment of team and other peer managers.Build high performance Organization: Hires, trains, develops teams and other managers.
