This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced compensation professional to influence workforce strategy, drive pay equity, and help attract and retain top talent across the College.As a trusted advisor, you will lead college-wide classification and compensation initiatives, modernize programs and practices, and ensure our compensation philosophy supports organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and student success.Montgomery College is committed to fostering a workplace where fairness, belonging, inclusion, and respect are embedded in everything we do.What You'll DoIn this highly visible role, you will:Lead and develop a team of classification and compensation professionals, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and exceptional customer service.Partner with leadership on compensation strategy, workforce planning, organizational design, and talent initiatives.Drive complex classification and compensation projects, including organizational reviews, restructuring efforts, process enhancements, and change management initiatives.Oversee the development and maintenance of job architectures, classifications, and position descriptions to ensure consistency, transparency, and organizational alignment.Design and administer competitive compensation programs, salary structures, market pricing activities, and pay practices that attract and retain high-performing talent.Provide expert guidance on pay equity, compensation analytics, compliance, and risk management.Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and institutional policies.Leverage workforce and compensation data to inform organizational decisions, budgeting, and long-term talent strategies.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who combines deep compensation expertise with strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in compensation, classification, human resources, or related areas.Two (2) years of supervisory or people leadership experience.Demonstrated success leading teams, managing complex projects, and driving organizational initiatives.Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsCertif...
