As we continue to grow, we are excited to add a Product Safety & Compliance Manager to our global team. OVERVIEW: A detailed-oriented, passionate, and dynamic leader is needed to be an integral part of our product development teams, ensuring that all of our new designs are safe, meet retailer requirements, and comply with all laws and regulations for the countries where sold. In this position, you will experience unparalleled collaboration with many functions of the organization – Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Creative, ID, Quality, Manufacturing, Legal, International, and Senior Executives. You will be interacting with external business partners – certification and test agencies, suppliers, factories, and international distributors, offering you exposure and interaction unlike any other role in the organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring delivery of products to market that are free of unnecessary risk and deliver delightful experiences for consumers. Lead development of certification plans for new product designs Design initiatives related to team participation in market surveillance activities Evaluate marketplace and consumer events for safety risks Manage and conduct design and construction reviews for risk analysis and mitigation Participate in DFMEA activities to ensure successful execution Serve as the essential source of knowledge and expertise for all safety and compliance necessities Act as project manager for safety and compliance related activities Lead activities surrounding identification and communication of market access requirements Prepare an...
