Note: This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a Principal-level technical bar About the role Ping Identity’s Developer Platform team (internally known as DevTools) sits at the center of how our multitenant SaaS products are built, tested, promoted, and operated. We own critical parts of the engineering system that help product teams ship safely and quickly: CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, self-service platform capabilities, and AI-enabled engineering tooling. This is a high-bar role for a hands-on technical leader who can drive transformational change across our developer platform, lead engineers, shape technical direction, and directly improve how software gets built and delivered. The right candidate has already done something similar before in a modern SaaS environment and can point to real results in areas like CI/CD, developer workflows, release automation, or AI-enabled engineering systems. What you’ll own Lead the Bangalore-based team and set technical direction for the developer platform, including CI/CD, release automation, self-service workflows, and AI-enabled engineering tooling. Own pipeline reliability as a product, including delivery health, time-to-feedback, release safety, and developer trust in platform signals. Stay actively hands-on in architecture, technical reviews, incident analysis, automation, and selective implementation work while driving transformational change in how engineers build, test, and ship software. Partner across engineering to remove bottlenecks across build, test, deployment, and promotion flows, and improve the paved-road experience for developers.
