Here, you will make an impact by:Leading Lean Six Sigma teams and Product and Process Understanding (PPU) efforts to improve safety, increase yields, improve productivityDriving Capital Investment, New Product Introduction and New Technologies to Increase Manufacturing CapabilitiesEfficiently troubleshooting defects and variation, performing root cause analysis and applying systemic problem-solving skills and robust solutionsProactively communicating at all levels of the organization to drive direction and positive changeSupporting a dynamic 24x7 operation through a willingness to be on-callYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)Five (5) years of engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical EngineeringExcellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision makingExperience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical AnalysisAbility to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisionsAbility to navigate through ambiguity and changeWork location: Cottage Grove, MNTravel: May include up to 10% DomesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
