As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for delivering successful projects for both internal and external stakeholders. You take full ownership of projects from initial concept through to build, commissioning, and installation support. In this role, you combine strong technical expertise with collaboration, creativity, and a clear focus on quality and safety.Design and develop mechanical solutions for customer projectsTake ownership of all mechanical aspects within assigned projectsCollaborate closely with mechanical and electrical design engineersSupport assembly and commissioning during the build phaseTravel occasionally within the UK and internationally as requir What You Will Be DoingYou work closely with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality machinery solutions. From early specification discussions to final delivery, you play a key role in both the technical execution and project progress. You ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.Manage design activities in line with project plans and cost targetsDevelop concepts, assemblies, and detailed mechanical drawingsAttend specification and project meetings with global customersProduce parts lists and complete technical documentationDocument and archive all project-related material Technical Responsibility & SafetySafety and compliance are integral to everything you design. You ensure machinery meets current legislation and internal standards while actively contributing to continuous improvement across the product range.
