Reaching these goals requires city agencies to work together with residents, businesses, developers, advocates, funders, and each other. Planning and Development has a team of agencies that do just that. Our agencies include:  Philadelphia Art Commission  Philadelphia City Planning Commission  Division of Development Services  Division of Housing and Community Development  Philadelphia Historical Commission  Zoning Board of Adjustment   We also partner with the PHDC  The essential functions for this internship may include: Writing  Editing & Proofing  Creativity Able to attend public and press events   The intern must possess the following:  Writing  Editing & Proofing Creativity Physical Able to Attend Events  The Department of Planning and Development is looking for a Communications Intern for the Fall 2026 Semester.  The Communications Intern’s duties may include Public Relations, Marketing, Branding and Advertising. Related duties may include:  Social media Press releases Graphic design Presentations Photography Talking points Blog writing Writing for web Writing “how to” instructions Creating videos Editing Proofreading Help planning events Collateral creation  The Communications Intern can expect to work up to 20 hours per week in-person.
