Production Technician I - 2nd Shift

Job Description:SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position will primarily consist of performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment as required and performing routine maintenance on equipment.  This may include installing equipment, performing testing on equipment, making adjustments and repairs to equipment and troubleshooting.Essential Functions: o    Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of warehouse equipment with some supervision o    A general understanding hand and power toolso    Troubleshoot issues on equipment to efficiently identify problems with some assistanceo    Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operationo    Identify, remove, repair or replace defective parts as directedo    Maintains parts and supplies/inventories as directedo    Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedureso    Perform routine maintenance around the buildings such as fixing cosmetic damageo    Operates all types of powered industrial vehicles, including boom lift and sweeper/scrubbero    Work in non-climatically controlled environment throughout the yearo    Ability to read and understand a Safety Data Sheeto    Must be able to read and comprehend work requests and be able to communicate well with otherso    General understanding of the fire system and notify management of issues Other Responsibilities:o    Repair broken or leaking plumbing and restore full use of water fixtures as instructedo    Adheres to facility hours to include overtime and weekendso    Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment QualificationsPhysical Requirements: o    Must be able to work in high elevations with the use of Personal Protective Equipment as requiredo    Must be 18 years of ageo    Must be able to wear steel toe shoes o    Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.o    Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete physical requirementsQualifications:o    Work flexible hours and overtime as requestedo    Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with some direction, and self-assign new tasko    Skilled in use of some hand and power toolso    Must pass a company paid drug screeno    Must possess a valid Missouri state driver’s license.o    Must have minimal understanding of Plumbing, Carpentry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Painting and Electrical skills.o    Possess good oral and written communication skills.o    Reading and basic understanding math required.o    Must hav...
