Your roleYou'll be a part of our band-1 Disputes & Investigations practice, working closely with our projects disputes Partners across all our offices. You will gain exposure to the most complex, high-value and significant construction and infrastructure disputes in the Australian market.At Allens, our structure means you'll get exposure to a number of different Partners within your practice group, and across a wide variety of work and sectors, including opportunities to work interstate. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field.Your role within our team will include advising clients on;Commercial and contractual disputes arising on major projects in Australia and Oceania;Disputes relating to the development and construction of infrastructure, mining, property development, social infrastructure, and renewable energy projects;Arbitration and Supreme Court litigation throughout AustraliaExpert determination, mediation, DRBs/DABs and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as facilitation;Providing advice regarding claims and dispute resolution during the project delivery phase across a range of significant Australian and international projects.This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.About youWe're ideally looking for a recently promoted Senior Associate (SA) in the early stages of their SA career. This role will provide you the opportunity to take the lead on matters and work as part of a team on major projects disputes, and we're looking for someone we can support in their development as a Senior Associate.You will have:Experience in construction and project disputes, ideally from a leading top tier, national or international firm.An ability to effectively manage larger matters, and to work collaboratively as part of a team both internally within Allens and externally with our clients' teams.
