About aiEDU The AI Education Project (aiEDU) is a fast-growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make AI literacy accessible to every learner. We equip students—especially those disproportionately impacted by AI and automation—with the conceptual knowledge and durable skills they need to thrive as future workers, creators, consumers, and citizens in an AI-driven world. Founded in 2019, aiEDU has grown into a national leader in K-12 AI readiness, with curriculum and programs reaching students across all 50 states. Our work is powered by partners and funders who share our vision—including Google.org, Salesforce, Amazon, and NewSchools Venture Fund, alongside leading philanthropies like the Walton Family Foundation, Overdeck Family Foundation, Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, and Gates Foundation. About the Role Reporting to the Chief of Staff (interim: CEO), the Senior Marketing & Communications Lead will build and run aiEDU's content and media engine — the systems, workflows, and channels that turn aiEDU's work into reach, influence, and partnerships. This is a builder's role as much as a marketer's role: alongside producing high-quality marketing and communications materials, the Lead will design repeatable, AI-accelerated workflows that let a small team punch well above its weight and help the rest of aiEDU communicate on-brand. Core responsibilities span content development and production, distribution and audience growth, media relations and thought leadership, and organization-wide MarCom alignment. The Lead will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Programs, Learning, and Development as well as funders, NGO partners, and education systems to align messaging and storytelling, support aiEDU's growing work with school districts and systems by helping reach and engage district leaders, and continually sharpen how aiEDU shows up across both traditional and AI-driven channels, including the fast-emerging world of AI search. The Lead will also own a practical measurement layer — tracking not just activity but outcomes and AI-era visibility — to ensure strategies are working and to inform how they evolve. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic, hands-on marketer who is fluent in AI, energized by building systems, and excited to shape and amplify aiEDU's narrative and impact. ⭐ Role Details  Location: Fully remote.
