Senior Payroll Specialist

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and supporting our employees. Working closely with HR and other departments, you will oversee payroll activities, manage compliance, and contribute to a superior employee experience. Here’s what you’ll do: Payroll and administration: You will oversee personnel administration, ensuring data accuracy in all HR systems. You will manage time and attendance systems, resolve issues, and process payroll accurately and on time. Additionally, you will analyze and resolve discrepancies while preparing monthly reports and ad hoc requests Collaboration and employee support: You will act as the main contact for payroll, social law, and time registration inquiries. By working closely with HR and other departments, you will enhance efficiency and support onboarding and offboarding processes. Compliance and process improvement: You will monitor and integrate updates in social, fiscal, and labor law into payroll activities. Your role includes participating in audits, improving workflows, and ensuring compliance with all standards.   Who are we looking for? Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in payroll or HR administration Experience At least 6 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a production environment Languages Fluent in Dutch and English, enabling clear communication across teams. Strengths Precision, independence, take ownership of your responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Handling sensitive information with discretion   Analytical and Eagerness to learn  Expertise In-depth knowledge of Belgian social and labor legislation Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
