The Senior Manager, Procurement Business Leader serves as the primary Procurement strategic partner to the Food, Burt’s Bees, and Brita Business Units, with end-to-end accountability for developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver sustainable value creation, cost competitiveness, supply assurance, risk mitigation, innovation, and sustainability objectives. The role oversees more than $200 million in annual external spend across a broad portfolio of direct material categories, including raw materials, packaging, and other critical inputs supporting business growth and operational performance.
The role partners directly with Business Unit General Managers, Supply Chain Leadership, and senior cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, R&D, Marketing, Planning, Quality, and Operations, translating business priorities into procurement strategies and executive-level recommendations. Responsibilities include building and delivering multi-year value creation initiatives, managing financial and supply risks, leading strategic supplier relationships and complex commercial negotiations, and driving major cross-functional projects and supplier transitions.
The position also provides leadership and direction to the Procurement team, ensuring effective resource allocation, capability development, governance, and execution against Business Unit priorities. The role is expected to foster collaboration, build organizational capability, and enable the delivery of business objectives through strong procurement leadership and execution excellence.
In this role, you will
- Serve as the strategic procurement leader and trusted advisor to Business Unit and Supply Chain leadership.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business priorities, growth objectives, and operational needs.
- Own annual productivity goals, cost savings programs, budget assumptions, and financial risk/opportunity planning.
- Build and deliver a multi-year value creation pipeline through sourcing initiatives, specification optimization, demand management, and supplier transitions.
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, complex commercial negotiations, and contract management across critical direct material categories.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships focused on cost, quality, innovation, sustainability, and supply assurance.
- Drive supplier performance management, governance, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
