This role serves as a subject matter expert in renewal strategy, commercial negotiations, contract optimization, and retention risk management. The position influences renewal policy, mentors junior team members, and partners with leadership to improve revenue retention outcomes and renewal operating effectiveness. Responsibilities Lead complex, strategic, and high-value renewal engagements. Develop renewal strategies for at-risk accounts, procurement-intensive customers, and enterprise agreements. Conduct advanced commercial negotiations involving pricing, contract terms, and customer commitments. Drive retention initiatives and risk mitigation plans for critical accounts. Partner with Sales leadership, Customer Success leadership, Finance, and Legal on strategic customer decisions. Identify opportunities to improve commercial terms, entitlement structures, and contract standards. Mentor and provide guidance to Entry, Associate, and Renewal Specialists. Lead cross-functional renewal reviews and executive-level account discussions. Influence renewal forecasting accuracy and retention planning. Contribute to development of renewal playbooks, operational processes, and best practices. Analyze renewal trends and recommend improvements to reduce churn and revenue leakage. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 6–8 years of experience in renewals, enterprise account management, customer revenue management, or related commercial roles. Proven success managing enterprise-level renewals and complex commercial negotiations. Advanced understanding of software subscription models, contract structures, and customer retention strategies. Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Experience mentoring or providing leadership within a revenue-focused organization. Strong business acumen and commercial judgment.
