This role is accountable for delivering consistent, high-quality, and scalable civil engineering design packages that support safe, timely, and cost-effective transmission line and substation construction across the service territory. The Senior Manager translates enterprise design standards and strategic priorities into operational execution, ensuring civil design performance meets commitments for budget, schedule, quality, constructability, and compliance.Key responsibilities include:Drive consistency, standardization, and scalability of civil design practices across transmission line and substation civil work and all geographies.Partner with the VP, peers, managers, construction, operations, project management, and other key stakeholders to support a centralized, high-performing design organization.Own performance of civil design delivery, including:Efficient and cost-competitive designsTimeliness and completeness of design packagesQuality and constructability of issued workAssist in the development and continuous improvement of civil design criteria, standards, specifications, and work practices to support safe, reliable, operable, and cost-effective engineering designs.Establish and manage performance metrics aligned with enterprise design scorecards, with focus on design quality, productivity, cost management, schedule performance, and constructability.Ensure civil design outputs enable efficient field execution, minimizing rework, cost variances, and schedule delays.Support development of cost-effective design alternatives and scope optimization to drive competitiveness throughout the organization.Manage a blended workforce of internal civil design teams and external engineering partners to meet capital plan demands while managing organizational budget goals.Establish strong governance of consultant performance, including quality, productivity, cost management, and adherence to design standards.Identify systemic civil design issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives across designs, tools, processes, standards, and training.Build...
