Trainee Practice AssistantYour roleYou'll be part of our Practice Support team, working closely with legal operatives and Practice Executives to provide high-quality administrative and operational assistance that helps our teams deliver for clients.The Trainee Practice Assistant program runs for 12 months and involves working across different legal teams, on a rotational basis, every three months. Through each rotation, you'll build practical capability, understand how different practice areas operate, and develop strong working relationships across the firm. You will be supported by our Central Support Team Leaders, who will provide clear expectations, coaching and feedback as you build confidence, judgement and capability. After 12 months, you will transition to a Practice Assistant role.As a Trainee Practice Assistant, you will be supported to:Support Practice Support team members and legal operatives with accuracy, responsiveness and a focus on quality outcomes.Develop administration skills, practice management capability and the judgement to prioritise, escalate and adapt as work changes.Learn how to use firm software, technology systems and AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to work smarter and support better team and client outcomes.Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, generating reports, expense management, document amendments and document management across various programs, with strong attention to detail.Assist with matter financials, including the monthly billing process: creating and amending bills and finalising billing narratives, building an understanding of how this work supports our legal teams and clients.This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.About youYou will bring curiosity, initiative and a commitment to learning.
