With a wide variety of people, global locations, technologies, and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Training Instructional Systems Designer for the Environmental, Health, & Safety organization, this role partners across the ganization to design high-quality, engaging learning solutions, enable and deliver training at scale through enterprise learning platforms, and uses data and analytics to improve outcomes, monitor execution, and evaluate effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in learning design and confidence in learning technologies and analytics. Here, you will make an impact by:Partner with global sites and business units to improve learning experiences, increase learner engagement, close performance gaps, and achieve defined learning objectives.Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to analyze training needs and support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training solutions using instructional systems design principles.Develop, revise, and maintain engaging training content and materials grounded in adult learning theory, instructional design methodology, and knowledge retention best practices.Recommend appropriate instructional approaches and delivery methods based on audience needs, business requirements, and desired performance outcomes.Provide coaching and guidance to subject matter experts on adult learning principles, instructional design practices, and effective content delivery.Provide occasional backup support for EHS/PS learning content administration in 3M Learn or related learning systems, as needed.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.5+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer, Learning Technologist, or in a similar role with hands-on responsibility across design, delivery, and reporting.Demonstrated experience in instructional systems design, adult learning theory, learner engagement, and knowledge retention strategies.Experience with learning content development tools such as Articulate 360/Dozuki Vyond /Camtasia/ PowerPoint,/Adobe Creative tools, or simulation-based learning platforms.Proven experience publishing and managing content in en...
