Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.   ABC10, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate station in Sacramento, CA, is looking for a full-time Visual Storyteller/Photojournalist. This candidate must thrive working in a fast-paced environment, develop sources and story concepts, shoot, and edit stories on your own or with a member of the ABC10 team. Our ideal candidate is familiar with the latest video equipment to tell visual stories, editing tools, and techniques.  Responsibilities•    Shoots and edits breaking news, general assignments, sports and feature stories for ABC10’s broadcast and digital platforms •    Be assigned to either work in a team or solo for daily news assignments, working collaboratively with the team to ensure the best content is gathered and published on all platforms •    Edit broadcasts using non-linear applications (Edius preferred)•    Must be open to working weekends and varying shifts, depending on daily station coverage needs•    Ability to multi-task assignments while constantly monitoring quality control •    Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories. •    Operate live shots with TVU, Dejero, microwave or satellite truck•    Knowledgeable in advanced lighting skills for broadcast •    Contact sources and develop news stories •    Attend editorial meetings, participate in discussions and suggest story ideas •    Take still photographs •    Safety consciousness and situational awareness on live shot locations and events  Job Requirements•    BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field •    1-3 years of experience preferred •    Clear understanding of the principles of journalism •    Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems •    Demonstrated social media proficiency, including an active news gathering on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) •    Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, photography experience, and non-linear editing skills. •    Must be flexible with schedule, reliable and dependable •    Knowledge of ENPS, EDIUS, non-linear editing programs, and Axis graphics •    Must have a valid driver's li...
