Bending Spoons agreed to acquire Miro in an all-cash $1.355 billion deal.

Why it matters: The deal underscores how collaboration software valuations have come down sharply since 2022, even for one of the category's best-known players. It also shows Bending Spoons is still using recent acquisition activity to build scale across productivity tools, which matters to Miro employees, customers and investors watching exits in European software.

  • Bending Spoons agreed Sept. 10, 2026, to buy Miro for about $1.355 billion in enterprise value.
  • The deal implies an equity value of about $1.79 billion including Miro's net cash.
  • Miro said it has more than 100 million users, 250,000 customers and more than 1,600 employees in 14 hubs.
  • Miro's January 2022 funding valued the company at $17.5 billion, according to reporting by TechCrunch.

Bending Spoons said the transaction was unanimously approved by both companies' boards and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The company said Miro has around $600 million in annual recurring revenue, with nearly 90% coming from business and enterprise customers.

Miro, based in Amsterdam, said its platform is used by more than 100 million users across 250,000 customers and that it employs more than 1,600 people in 14 hubs worldwide. CEO and co-founder Andrey Khusid said the company started 15 years ago to give teams one place to think together and bring ideas to life. Bending Spoons CEO Luca Ferrari said the company plans to invest substantially in Miro's performance, reliability and functionality after closing.

The acquisition adds to Bending Spoons' recent acquisition activity after its August 2026 agreement to buy Airtable, according to EU-Startups. Bending Spoons has publicly described itself as a long-term owner-operator and says it has completed more than 50 acquisitions.

The price lands far below Miro's January 2022 funding valuation of $17.5 billion, reported by TechCrunch, highlighting how much collaboration software pricing has reset since the market peak.

By the numbers

  • $1.355 billion - Enterprise value Bending Spoons agreed to pay for Miro.
  • $1.79 billion - Equity value including Miro's net cash.
  • $17.5 billion - Miro's January 2022 funding valuation.

Yes, but: The deal still needs customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, so the transaction is not final yet.

What's next: The companies say the acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
