The position requires a self-motivated leader that brings organization, positive energy, and motivation for growth while also keeping focus on the broader dynamic goals for the Airport. The Airport Operations Specialist is responsible for, under general supervision, performing a variety of technical, general operations, surveillance and enforcement duties associated with the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport. This role will also perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled labor tasks associated the operation and maintenance of the airport property and equipment. SCHEDULE: Please note the projected schedule for this role is Wednesday-Saturday from 6:30am-4:30pm but requires availability on nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call. Schedules are subject to change at any time based on Airport needs. Must be available to be on-call for special events and for snow removal operations at any time of day. COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $28.10-$35 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIEs:Perform routine inspections of all airport property and all aircraft movement areas for FAR-Part 139 compliance and safety. Make work orders and minor airfield maintenance to maintain FAR-Part 139 compliance. Prioritize maintenance operations in the field in limited time-frames. Decide what warrants initiation of work order procedures Identify airport/airfield safety hazards and take correct measures to rectify the situations encountered.
