Controlled Substance Documentation Specialist
Position Summary:Under general supervision, a DEA Compliance Clerk in warehouse operations is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure proper physical movement of shipments into and out of the facility according to the client's instructions.The DEA Compliance Clerk operates with independence and objectivity while administering audits and compliance activities throughout the Company. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to assignments.Primary Accountabilities:Create DEA 222 Forms and ATF’s; file and maintain copies of all formsResearch and answer assigned tickets (DEA, ATF) via the help desk portal; answer inbound phone callsUpload and maintain certificates of destructionTransmit all hospital forms as requiredMaintain in and out logs for Field Account Representatives servicing hospital clientsEnter accurate data in a timely and professional manner using applicable company and client programs and processes; maintain various excel files as assignedConduct research to answer questions or resolve issuesRun reports, check for accuracy and distribute as appropriatePrep and ship all mailings using USPS and Fed-ExAdditional Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsRequired Qualifications:High School diploma (or its equivalent) required1-3 years related work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position requiredLegally authorized to work in the U.S.Proficient in math; able to accurately enter numeric data using a 10-keypadStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google suitesAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment; must possess good interpersonal skillsAble to follow standard operation and safety proceduresStrong ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a timely and professional mannerProven detail orientation and organizational skillsAble to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as neededAble to work in an environment that is not climate controlledAble to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measuresPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the major job responsibilities (essential functions) of this job.
