Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our inpatient team in Newport News, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality medical care to adults receiving treatment for substance use disorders. As part of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our clients receive comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care throughout their recovery journey. Responsibilities Provide medical evaluation, assessment, and ongoing care for adult clients receiving treatment for substance use disorders. Conduct admissions, physical assessments, medication management, and follow-up visits as appropriate. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice. For PMHNPs, evaluate, diagnose, and manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions and prescribe psychiatric medications as appropriate. Consult and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Coordinate with outside medical providers, hospitals, and community resources to support continuity of care. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to treatment planning. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). DEA registration (or ability to obtain). Experience working in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, addiction medicine, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
