Financial Data Analyst
Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring that our business is operating efficiently, making data-driven decisions, and staying financially healthy. We’re looking for a Financial Data Analyst to help us unlock the full potential of our financial data by improving reporting, analytics, and automation.
What This Person Will Do at Belong
As a Financial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for pulling, analyzing, and structuring financial data from various sources to generate actionable insights. Over time, this role will evolve from report generation to building automation and integrations between Belong’s management system and accounting system.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with data, has a strong analytical mindset, and enjoys solving problems through data engineering and automation. You don’t just pull reports—you understand the story behind the numbers and can translate raw data into meaningful business insights.
In this role, you will
- Extract and consolidate financial data from sources like BigQuery, RDS, Excel, Google Sheets, and other internal systems.
- Build actionable reports and dashboards in Looker, Metabase, Google Sheets, and Excel.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries to efficiently retrieve financial data.
- Analyze financial metrics, including revenue categorization, cohort analysis, and gross profit calculations.
