Labor Apprentice

Compensation Range$25.00 - $30.00 Hourly RateJob Description Summary:Assist with manual labor duties for various construction trades and different environments.Job Description:ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES:Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specificationsClean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazardsUnderstand and use of various tools and machinesControl traffic passing near, in, and around work zonesSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materialsDig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakesInstall and maintain perimeter construction fencing and screeningAssist Swinerton Self Perform trades including but not limited to cement, drywall, carpentry and electrical with all general laborer tasks and needsComplete other responsibilities as assignedSKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to learn new skills with attention to detailLift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipmentAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool beltCapable of working in a variety of weather conditionsUphold Swinerton Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion and Excellence at all timesAdhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and proceduresSupport activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directedSUMMARY OF BENEFITS:  This role is eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), individual stock ownership, paid vacation, paid sick leave, employee assistance program, basic term life insurance and AD&D, business travel accident insurance, short term disability, financial wellness coaching, Care.com membership, ClassPass fitness membership, and DashPass delivery membership.  Voluntary benefits include long term care insurance, critical illness and accidental injury insurance, pet insurance, identity theft protection, and other voluntary benefit options.
