Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking passionate Critical Care Nurses to join our team in full‑time night shifts in our Assessment and Treatment Center. You’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact, collaborate with exceptional providers, and continue growing your skills in an advanced, high‑tech ICU environment.Critical Care Nurse responsibilities include:-Advanced Assessment of a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans.-Providing advanced life support including ventilator support; Assisting physicians in performing procedures.- Observing and recording patient vital signs as well as intake and outputs every one (1) hour.- Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly.- Administering continuous vasoactive and cardiac medications; Ordering diagnostic tests.-Collaborating with fellow members of the critical care team; Provide care using nursing standards and Hospital/ICU protocols for treatment.-Acting as patient advocates; Providing education and support to patient families.-Caring for both medical and surgical patients; Providing care to the immediate post-operative patient.-Responding to Rapid Responses and medical emergencies throughout the medical campus.-Being part of end of life conversations as well as collaborating with the Palliative Care and Hospice teams.Who Thrives Here?This role is ideal for nurses who:- Are confident, skilled, and able to act independently in urgent situations- Value teamwork and strong communication- Are passionate about caring for critically ill patients- Want to grow professionally in a complex clinical environmentCompensation:The starting rate of pay for this position is $47.58 per hour. The listed pay rate reflects the potential compensation for this role, and the actual offer may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.Qualifications:Required Education and ExperienceLicense RequirementLicense to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.Education and Experience1.
