Job Description Summary

Moves materials and equipment to and from various locations on university grounds

Job Description

Essential Duties

• Reviews instructions; determines type and quantity of material to be moved; locates materials; may disassemble materials for loading.
• Loads materials and/or equipment onto vehicles; may use hand jacks, electric jacks, or fork lifts.
• Drives vehicles which may include trucks, semi-trailer trucks, and moving trailers to deliver items to specified locations.
• Unloads materials from truck.
• May assist in setting up tents and performing other tasks in support of special events.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED and one year of moving experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires driver's license and may require a Commercial Drivers License.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic mechanical skills
• Ability to use fork lift and other power equipment
• Knowledge of moving techniques and procedures
